Salary: USD 116,000 - 159,500 / annual

You will manage and scale US payroll operations to support the company's tremendous growth. This role requires someone detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills, who can execute operational work efficiently while simultaneously building systems for future scale. You'll work in a fast-moving environment where the team operates with intensity, stays close to customers, and pushes for excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review and approve termination checks
- Collaborate with People Ops on payroll components of benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement plans, company-sponsored benefits)
- Serve as primary point of contact for Workday HRIS enhancements
- Prepare and maintain accurate records for internal and external audits; assist with compliance audits
- Ensure confidentiality and security of employee data with maintained integrity
- Assist with month-end close tasks related to payroll entries
- Lead annual 401(k) audit and ensure funding reconciliation following each payroll cycle
- Perform quarterly Form 941 filings and state tax reconciliations

REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of payroll experience, preferably with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Bachelor's degree (Business or related field preferred)
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) highly preferred
- Experience implementing or operating within a Workday HRIS environment
- Experience with payroll accounting and tax
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and similar tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving attitude with ability to adapt to changing requirements and work under pressure
- Sense of urgency around US payroll processes and comfort supporting multiple time zones
