Salary: USD 200,000 - 240,000 / annual

You will join the Finance team as Senior Finance Manager, Sales, serving as a key strategic partner to the Chief Revenue Officer and Sales leadership. This role is central to building financial discipline, operating cadence, and scalable reporting to support Vercel's next stage of growth. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the trusted Finance partner to the CRO, delivering actionable insights through forecasting, scenario analysis, business reviews, and resource allocation recommendations - Own Sales budget and headcount planning, including bottoms-up workforce models connecting hiring plans, ramp timing, productivity assumptions, commissions, and compensation costs to bookings and revenue goals - Support SLG bookings and quota planning by partnering with Sales and RevOps on quota capacity, ramp, attainment, coverage, territory design, and productivity assumptions - Support commissions planning, forecasting, and reporting in partnership with Accounting, RevOps, and Sales leadership, including commission expense, accruals, plan changes, and performance insights - Lead Sales Budget vs. Actual reviews and operating cadences, translating financial results into clear variance narratives, risks, opportunities, and recommendations - Improve Sales Finance reporting and tooling by building scalable dashboards, templates, and processes that reduce manual work, improve forecast accuracy, and surface key risks earlier You are commercially sharp and analytically rigorous, understanding how Sales and RevOps teams operate and connecting SLG bookings, quota planning, pipeline, capacity, attainment, productivity, commissions, headcount, and spend to the company's financial plan. You are anti-bureaucracy and pro-speed, streamlining workflows and making decisions with clarity. You are a tech-forward operator who goes beyond Excel, using AI tools to automate, clean, and generate insights, treating Finance like a product. You are detail-obsessed, understanding that errors in quota capacity, ramp timing, commission logic, or start dates can swing forecasts by millions. You are a strong cross-functional partner who can build trust with Sales leadership while maintaining financial discipline and driving decisions with data. Requirements: - Experience in Sales Finance, FP&A, or similar finance roles supporting revenue-generating functions - Strong understanding of Sales operations, quota planning, commissions, and revenue forecasting - Proficiency with financial modeling, Excel, and data analysis - Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for automation and insights - Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders - Track record of building scalable processes and improving reporting efficiency
