As Revenue Accounting Manager, you will own the complete revenue accounting function from contract signature through cash collection. This is a foundational role in a scaling fintech/AI company where you'll build processes and controls that support rapid growth and audit readiness. Key responsibilities include: - Perform contract-level ASC 606 analysis for all customer contracts, amendments, and upsells; document performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration, and standalone selling price positions in audit-ready memos - Own the monthly revenue close cycle: prepare revenue, deferred revenue, and contract asset schedules; conduct flux analysis; reconcile billing subledger to general ledger and ARR to revenue recognition - Manage commission capitalization and amortization under ASC 340-40 - Ensure billing data integrity across the order-to-cash cycle; design and operate controls with Sales and Revenue Operations teams - Supervise the outsourced AR specialist; oversee invoicing accuracy, collections escalation, credit memos, and customer billing dispute resolution - Lead revenue cycle audit support: prepare PBC schedules, conduct walkthroughs, manage disclosures, and defend technical positions with external auditors - Build revenue policy and process documentation as the company scales You will work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment alongside a talented team committed to solving one of the most ambitious problems in AI and finance. REQUIREMENTS: - CPA certification (required) - 6+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years hands-on SaaS or software revenue recognition in industry roles (not audit-only) - Deep, applied ASC 606 knowledge on complex arrangements: multi-element deals, usage-based pricing, enterprise license agreements, modifications, and variable consideration - Experience with revenue subledgers or billing platforms integrated with CRM systems; strong command of order-to-cash data flows - Experience supporting external audits of the revenue cycle, ideally including first audits or IPO-readiness builds - Multi-entity or international billing exposure (multi-currency, cross-border invoicing) - Excellent technical memo writing skills; ability to defend positions to Big 4 audit teams NICE TO HAVE: - Big 4 accounting background followed by high-growth SaaS industry roles - Experience with consumption or usage-based pricing models - Strong data skills working with large revenue datasets
