Alan is a fast-growing European healthtech company building the new standard in prevention insurance, integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. The company serves 1M+ members across 40K+ partner companies and has reached €800M+ in ARR.
You will lead Alan's relationships with French unions, sector federations, and paritariste institutions, positioning Alan as a trusted, substantive interlocutor within the French social partner ecosystem. This is a foundational role where you will shape the strategy and playbook from the ground up, working directly with founders and enterprise/public sector leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
**Relationships & Presence:** Build and maintain long-term trusted relationships with unions, federations, and paritariste structures. Map the ecosystem, prioritize key interlocutors, and design engagement strategies at confederal, federal, and branch levels. Represent Alan in federations, working groups, and paritariste institutions, becoming the consistent, credible Alan voice that social partners recognize.
**Partnership with Enterprise & Public Sector Teams:** Brief commercial teams on social partner context and priorities. Introduce key contacts at critical moments in the sales cycle to convert ecosystem relationships into commercial leverage. Share Alan's content to help social partners assess the company on its merits.
**Sector Engagement & Anticipation:** Monitor dialogue at branch level and across the paritariste ecosystem, translating insights into internal clarity. Contribute a constructive voice in federations and working groups shaping the sector's future. Provide early, sharp internal guidance on social dialogue trends and strategic implications for Alan.
**Build & Scale:** Create and maintain a knowledge library on social partner positions, branch agreements, and paritariste institutions to support deal teams and increase win rates. Implement processes and AI tools to improve engagement quality and efficiency. Share best practices across the enterprise and public sector teams. Provide competitive intelligence on how social partners and competitors position themselves in key markets.
You will be based in Paris with a hybrid office setup at Alan's headquarters.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 8 years of experience in social partner relations: within a union organization, branch federation, paritariste institution, or external affairs role at a mutuelle, IP, or insurer
- Legitimate credibility at federation level with ability to engage federation leadership as a peer, built through personal representative experience or years of substantive federation-level engagement from the employer/state side
- Deep knowledge of the paritariste ecosystem: branch agreements, confederal mandates, protection sociale reforms, and institutional functioning at each level
- Proven ability to build trust with social partners from employer/state perspective
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills: calm, long-term focused, trustworthy, discreet, able to represent Alan substantively without self-promotion
- Ability to translate Alan's product and strategy into compelling narratives for social partner audiences
- Demonstrable impact from prior social-partner work on organizational commercial and strategic outcomes
- Self-starter comfortable building from scratch in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ego-free, lever-minded approach: accelerate others rather than seeking spotlight
- Based in or willing to relocate to Paris
**Nice to have:**
- Confederal or federal elected/permanent position experience
- Experience inside a paritariste institution
- Experience inside a sector federation on social dialogue agenda
- Legal background in droit social with ability to read accords collectifs quickly
- International exposure to European social dialogue ecosystem
- Prior experience with RFPs or tenders involving union-negotiated or paritariste schemes
