Strava is a global community platform for active people with over 200 million athletes across 185+ countries. The Trust & Safety Ops team protects this community by enforcing community standards, responding to safety incidents, and building scalable moderation systems in partnership with Legal, Policy, Engineering, and Product teams. You will join a small, high-trust team as a Trust & Safety Specialist, owning core content moderation operations. Your day-to-day work involves reviewing user reports and proactive detection flags in Strava's moderation tooling and Intercom, making content and account enforcement decisions across categories including spam, harassment, impersonation, graphic content, and child safety. You'll own moderation queue targets jointly with your manager, meeting SLA expectations across tiered response times while maintaining high decision accuracy and consistency. Key responsibilities include escalating edge cases, novel policy questions, and high-severity incidents (child safety, legal requests) to senior team members or Legal with clear reasoning. You'll contribute to compliance-driven review workflows for regulatory obligations including the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Take It Down Act (TIDA). You'll also flag policy gaps, tooling friction, and recurring content patterns encountered in daily review work to drive continuous operational improvement, and participate in cross-functional efforts with Policy, Legal, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams. One of the two positions requires a Tue-Sat schedule to provide weekend coverage for time-sensitive regulatory obligations; that role involves serving as the primary point of contact for Saturday escalations and weekend coverage end-to-end. Strava operates a flexible hybrid model requiring more than half your time on-site in the Dublin office, approximately two days per week. REQUIREMENTS: - Experience in content moderation, online safety, or trust and safety operations in any platform context (social media, gaming, marketplace, fintech, or similar) - Comfort regularly reviewing sensitive and graphic content, including harassment, spam, child safety material, and self-harm, and discussing difficult subjects clearly and calmly - Strong judgment in applying policy to ambiguous situations; ability to reason through edge cases, articulate thinking, and make well-grounded decisions rather than relying solely on scripts or decision trees - Genuine motivation for operational execution work; satisfaction in the rhythm and rigor of doing essential moderation work well - Clear, concise communication skills, particularly when escalating sensitive issues or flagging patterns to senior team members - Ability to work independently while knowing when to involve others; effective queue management and appropriate help-seeking - Plus: Experience with Intercom or similar ticketing and support platforms - Plus: Familiarity with content moderation regulatory frameworks (DSA, GDPR, or similar) - Plus: Professional fluency in a second European language
