Griffin is a fully regulated UK bank founded in 2024 that powers accounts and payments for product-led fintechs and platforms including Uber, Yonder, Prosper, and Sidekick. The company operates as the banking backbone for companies across remittance, payroll, wealth, insurance, proptech, payments, and neobanking, with expansion into card issuing, stablecoin infrastructure, and agentic finance. You will serve as Treasury Manager, reporting directly to Michael, the Treasurer, and acting as the essential operational support to Griffin's treasury function. This is a hands-on role with direct ownership of reporting, cash management, and dealing activities that keep the treasury running smoothly. You'll step in with confidence when the Treasurer is unavailable and help shape how the bank manages liquidity, executes deals, and grows its investment strategy. Key responsibilities include: daily reporting on liquidity, capital, interest rate risk, and asset encumbrance; monthly reporting covering liquidity, interest rate risk, treasury asset interest income, margin, and customer profitability; cash management including inter-account transfers and Bank of England Reserve Account operations; liquidity management and depositor behavior monitoring; dealing activities including pre- and post-trade checks, settlements, and credit analysis; maintaining treasury mandates; and contributing to strategic projects. You should have 5+ years in bank treasury functions with deep knowledge of liquidity and capital regulation (CRR, Basel III, LCR, NSFR, IRRBB, ILAAP, ICAAP). Strong Excel skills, dealing experience, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The role values clear writing and documentation. Ideally, you bring experience from a challenger or growth-stage bank where you've built or improved treasury processes, plus data skills in Python, SQL, Power BI, or AI tools. Griffin operates as a remote-first, high-autonomy culture since 2017, with asynchronous work and full flexibility. The company values mission-driven, self-directed people who thrive without hand-holding. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, share options, auto-enrolled pension, private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave (up to 6 months full pay after 2 years), 1:1 coaching/therapy, and up to 20 days annual work-from-abroad allowance.
