Salary: USD 93,500 - 120,000 / annual

Carta is seeking a Treasury Associate to join its Treasury team, which manages banking activities and corporate/customer money movement across the platform. Carta is a connected platform for private capital, trusted by 55,000 companies and 1.8M+ equity holders globally, with $250B+ in assets under management across 10,000 funds and SPVs. In this role, you will be responsible for: • Daily Payment Exceptions & Platform Operations: Handle payment exception resolution and provide real-time support to cross-functional teams to resolve payment and funding issues. • High-Volume Payment Approval & Specialized Disbursements: Review and approve daily outgoing payment batches, manage end-to-end disbursement processes, and conduct daily reconciliation for specialized corporate and transactional bank accounts. • Bank Portal Security & Compliance Controls: Administer daily fraud controls, review transaction exceptions across banking portals, and coordinate responses to banking compliance and regulatory inquiries. • Daily Bank Data & Limit Monitoring: Maintain master banking data records and perform daily tracking and analysis of credit limits to support credit risk management and underwriting. • Monthly Banking Audits & Statement Administration: Own monthly bank statement collection, archiving, and transaction export processes across global corporate accounts; conduct comprehensive monthly pricing audits and fee reviews. • Liquidity Transfers & Platform Expansion: Execute recurring intercompany transfer setups, respond to external bank authorization requests, and configure system variables to support onboarding of new geographical markets or banking partners. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Support, Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and global banking partners. Your focus will center on resolving payment exceptions, administering critical banking portal access, and driving continuous process improvements. REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related role (recommended) • 2+ years of dedicated experience in Treasury operations, banking operations, or payment processing (recommended) • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications (Excel/Google Sheets) • Baseline proficiency in data querying utilities (Looker or Metabase) • Strong passion for utilizing modern AI tools (Claude, Gemini) to automate tasks and drive efficiencies • Proficient knowledge of banking services (ACH, wire, F/X transfers), reconciliations, payment rules, and compliance/controls (NACHA guidelines, OFAC regulations, bank portal administration) • Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment to resolve moderate-scope operational issues • Rigorous attention to detail with established record of executing tasks accurately and meeting tight deadlines • Passion for creating and maintaining clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reconciliations, and process flow mappings • Proactive collaborator with strong cross-functional communication skills
