Carta is a connected platform and AI-native ecosystem for private capital, serving 55,000 companies and 1.8M+ equity holders across 160+ countries. The company provides software, services, and legal infrastructure for founders managing equity, fund managers running administration and reporting, and legal teams closing transactions.
As a Senior Billing & Revenue Accountant, you will own end-to-end billing accuracy by validating and processing source data through Carta's AI-powered workflow, executing bulk imports, and generating client invoices in NetSuite with precision and speed. You will proactively identify missing or inconsistent billing data and partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve issues before they reach clients.
You will drive collections excellence by managing outstanding balances through YayPay, ensuring professional follow-up that protects client relationships while keeping aging receivables in check. You will serve as the primary billing point of contact for clients, responding to billing queries with clarity and accuracy in a complex, high-touch environment.
Additional responsibilities include supporting a clean month-end close by posting and reconciling accrued revenue entries so financial statements reflect reality accurately and on time. You will identify friction points in the billing cycle and help embed AI-driven improvements that scale with Carta's growth.
You will collaborate closely with the Revenue team and Controller to support Carta's revenue operations, serving as a key liaison between the accounting team and various departments including sales, legal, finance, delivery teams, deal desk, and accounts receivable.
