Thunes is a fast-growing fintech scale-up transforming cross-border payments and financial services for emerging markets. The company interconnects mobile wallet operators, corporates, merchants, money transfer operators, payment service providers, and banks to unlock economic opportunities globally. Thunes powers payments for major clients including Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, PayPal, and Remitly.
The Treasury team manages all aspects of international cash and liquidity management, cashflow forecasting, working capital management, and foreign exchange operations. This Treasury Analyst role is based in Singapore, reporting to the Treasury Manager, and collaborates with regional teams across Beijing, Barcelona, Athens, Nairobi, and Ecuador.
Key responsibilities include:
Liquidity Management: Prepare and execute daily funding wires and FX conversions with accuracy and timeliness. Handle end-to-end processing of inward and outward payment transactions. Perform daily reconciliations of all trading and settlement activity to ensure data accuracy. Investigate and resolve payment issues and inquiries related to remittance instructions and non-receipt of funds. Support business improvement initiatives and participate in ad-hoc projects to enhance treasury operations.
FX Execution & Partnerships: Manage end-to-end FX execution for G10 and emerging market currencies across pay-in and pay-out partners. Confirm credit of funds, release transactions, and book and reconcile executed trades daily. Monitor FX costs and partner pricing agreements to maintain adherence and identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with product and development teams to optimize trading desk systems and procedures for scalability and user experience. Assess global FX market conditions and identify new banking and FX partners to improve costs and liquidity.
Required experience includes 3-5 years in treasury or similar roles with focus on FX trade execution and processing. Solid understanding of FX global financial markets and fundamentals, experience with FX trading systems and trade analysis, and familiarity with cross-border payments is a plus. Ideal candidates possess strong understanding of cash management, FX products, and trade finance; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners; strong communication skills; and thrive in fast-paced, multicultural fintech environments.
