Anthropic is seeking a Transaction Manager for Canada to drive commercial sourcing and transaction execution for Canadian data center capacity deals. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure procurement, real estate negotiation, and strategic partnerships, supporting Anthropic's expansion of AI compute infrastructure. You will lead the full lifecycle of data center transactions: identifying capacity opportunities through network relationships with developers, brokers, and power contacts; managing RFP processes and competitive sourcing across multiple Canadian markets; negotiating term sheets and LOIs that balance Anthropic's technical and business requirements with developer partnerships; and serving as the central point of contact ensuring seamless stakeholder alignment from sourcing through lease execution. Key responsibilities include acting as project manager for cross-functional teams (legal, technical, finance, operations), coordinating due diligence and external counsel, managing transaction timelines and critical path tracking, and developing scalable transaction playbooks as Anthropic expands. You will also translate technical and operational requirements into contractual terms, manage complex digital infrastructure development activities to construction-ready state, and support long-term data center supply strategy. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where processes are being built alongside execution. You'll work with diverse stakeholder groups across the organization and serve as liaison between internal teams and external partners including networks, deployments, and government relations. REQUIREMENTS: - 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement - Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution - Strong negotiation skills with experience structuring term sheets, LOIs, and commercial agreements - Excellence at project management and cross-functional coordination (legal, technical, finance, operations) - Experience with RFP processes and competitive sourcing for large-scale infrastructure or real estate transactions - Exceptional communication skills and ability to serve as effective liaison between internal and external stakeholders - Highly organized with strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on strategic deal objectives - Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments - Collaborative mindset and ability to build trust with diverse stakeholder groups - Expert knowledge in Canadian leasing compute space - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience - Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with data center or hyperscale infrastructure transactions - Understanding of technical requirements for AI/ML workloads (power density, cooling, network connectivity) - Experience working with legal teams on complex lease negotiations or infrastructure agreements - Familiarity with data center developer ecosystems and market dynamics - Background in high-growth technology companies managing infrastructure expansion - Understanding of utility coordination, power procurement, or energy considerations in data center transactions - Background in corporate development, strategic partnerships, or infrastructure investment
