Blockchain.com, a leading global crypto platform with 90+ million wallet holders, is seeking a Trader for its Market Making desk in London. This role sits at the intersection of trading, quantitative research, and commercial strategy, responsible for running, analyzing, and improving automated liquidity strategies while working closely with clients to enhance desk value.
You will work with experienced traders in a fast-paced environment, managing risk and ideating trading strategies across DeFi, market making, and yield strategies. Key responsibilities include configuring and tuning strategy parameters in response to market conditions, developing world-class market-making strategies, and driving commercial growth by sourcing new clients and bringing in new business. You'll interact directly with clients, network within the crypto ecosystem, understand deal flow dynamics, and contribute strategic ideas to desk growth. Additionally, you'll build infrastructure and initiatives to maximize enterprise value and client satisfaction.
This is a hybrid role based in the London office with mandatory in-office presence four days per week. The company offers a Work from Anywhere policy allowing up to 20 remote days annually.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–5 years of experience in market making, quantitative trading, electronic trading, or institutional desk work (crypto preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial markets, DeFi, algorithmic trading, and crypto token generation events (TGEs) / listing structures
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, AI tooling, and/or SQL
- Commercially aware mindset with ability to thrive in fast-paced, intense environments
- Strong communication and hands-on coding ability
