Pendo's Total Rewards team manages benefits, leave, and compensation programs that employees depend on for health coverage, financial security, and time away from work. The Total Rewards Analyst administers these programs day to day, ensuring accurate enrollments, clean vendor data, and clear communication. This role works independently within a defined scope, adapts established approaches to varied problems, and turns audit findings into process improvements.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
**Benefits Operations:** Process life event changes and benefits inquiries, confirm changes land correctly in vendor and payroll systems, and prepare open enrollment materials ahead of the annual enrollment window.
**Leave Administration:** Run leave intake through return, keep status tracking current, and send timely updates to Payroll and the sales organization.
**Data Quality:** Audit benefits and compensation data on a recurring cadence, resolve eligibility file errors with providers, and document fixes to prevent recurrence.
**Compliance and Reporting:** Fulfill required benefits reporting and filing requirements such as audits, 5500 filings, and non-discrimination testing.
**Employee & Manager Support:** Triage escalated tickets through Kinfolk (AI-based HR ticketing and workflow system), and enhance knowledge base and workflows.
**Vendor and Invoice Management:** Review benefits invoices and support invoice processing.
**Knowledge and Documentation:** Keep leave and benefits guides, process documents, and employee resources accurate in Confluence and Google Drive.
**AI-Assisted Execution:** Apply AI to drafting, anomaly detection, reporting, and documentation upkeep.
The role partners with Payroll, Finance, the wider People Team, and external benefits vendors. When executed well, employees get correct answers quickly, vendors receive clean files, and payroll deductions match elections the first time.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, leave administration, HR operations, or total rewards, with demonstrated outcomes you owned
- Experience owning processes from intake to accurate completion, working independently with review at key milestones

- Ability to make sound calls with incomplete information and know when to escalate with a recommendation
- Clear written and verbal communication with employees, vendors, Payroll, and leaders; ability to handle confidential medical and personal information with discretion
**Nice-to-haves:**
- Experience leading an annual open enrollment cycle
- Experience with Workday as a benefits enrollment platform
