Wiz is a fast-growing cloud security platform (recently acquired by Google) that helps teams secure cloud and AI applications by connecting code, cloud, and runtime into a single shared context. The company protects over 65% of the Fortune 100 and scans over 230 billion files daily. You will join the Threat Research team as a Threat Intelligence Researcher focused on cloud environments. Your primary responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and tracking advanced state-backed and financially motivated threat actors targeting cloud ecosystems. You will hunt through diverse data sources to identify malicious campaigns affecting Wiz customers, leverage both open and closed-source intelligence to track attacker infrastructure and malware, investigate and attribute incidents to understand attacker motivations, and communicate novel findings to customers and the public. You bring 5+ years of experience in security or threat research with a proven track record tracking sophisticated threat actors, particularly those engaged in state-sponsored espionage or financially motivated campaigns. You have deep expertise in at least one actor-tracking mechanism (malware analysis, infrastructure tracking, etc.), experience working with large-scale telemetry and infrastructure hunting using query languages and scripting, familiarity with malware analysis and YARA hunting, and willingness to take on multiple roles to build out actor tracking capabilities. Advantage qualifications include knowledge of how attackers target AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native architectures; experience building repeatable and scalable tools to exploit data sources; a track record of public communication of novel findings; and background in incident response, threat intelligence, or threat hunting. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation including base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits. The role is fully remote for US-based candidates.
