Celonis is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Data Analytics and Transformation team in Bangalore. The role focuses on developing data-driven insights and decision-making applications for internal use, with emphasis on operational processes. You will work across the organization to support strategic and tactical decision-making in a high-growth environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing data-driven insights and decision-making applications for internal operational use
- Producing regular reporting and analysis for business leaders
- Building, documenting, and maintaining innovative operational processes focused on automation and reducing manual work
- Utilizing project management skills to mobilize internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting data engineering processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity at scale
- Performing in-depth analytic investigations to answer business questions and support product/engineering initiatives
- Creating statistical and machine learning models, conducting experimentation, and working with foundation models (RAG, agents, evals)
- Building visualizations and communicating findings to engineers, managers, and executives
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science
- 3+ years of relevant experience as an Analytics Engineer, Product Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role at a SaaS or enterprise software company
- Hands-on experience with analytics tools (Celonis EMS, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, Power BI)
- Technical competence with SQL, Python, and Pandas for data extraction, visualization, and analysis
- Experience working with large datasets
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize multiple objectives under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working in agile teams with collaboration tools like Jira
- Willingness to work in a fast-growing, diverse, international organization
