You will join the Data Science & Insights team as a Senior Data Scientist focused on Product Insights. This role owns analytics for a broad product area—such as all buyer-facing features, seller-facing experiences, or order fulfillment—and partners closely with Product teams to identify user journey opportunities and measure feature impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own analytics for a major platform area, building strong stakeholder partnerships and proactively identifying opportunities through deep understanding of user behavior
- Transform data into actionable insights and recommendations by defining success measures, uncovering trends, and translating findings into clear strategic guidance
- Apply advanced analytics methods including regression analysis, causal inference, A/B testing, and time series modeling to understand user behavior and measure feature impact
- Evaluate GenAI-powered features by designing offline benchmarks and online measurement frameworks to track quality, performance, drift, and user impact
- Design and implement measurement strategies using tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Build dashboards and reports that ensure stakeholders have timely, actionable information
You bring 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally in online/marketplace environments. You are highly proficient in SQL and experienced with Python, R, or similar languages for data transformation. You have deep statistical expertise, hands-on A/B testing experience, and familiarity with visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) and data transformation tools (dbt, Dataform). You take ownership, solve problems autonomously, and drive initiatives with an entrepreneurial mindset.
