The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team is part of Compliance and serves as a Second Line of Defense, safeguarding operational resilience through oversight of outsourcing and vendor partnerships. This role acts as deputy to the TPRM function lead, coordinating team priorities and representing the function in senior cross-functional forums.
Key responsibilities include: owning and evolving TPRM frameworks, policies, and standards across the group; leading third-party risk assessments from pre-assessment through lifecycle review; collaborating with control functions to identify and mitigate risks; monitoring third-party performance via KPIs, SLAs, and control testing; supporting contractual risk oversight with Legal and Procurement; advising on outsourcing arrangement changes; contributing to regulatory and Management Board reporting; and overseeing exit plans and contingency strategies for critical third parties.
The ideal candidate brings senior-level experience in third-party risk management, outsourcing governance, or comparable roles in regulated financial services. Required expertise includes deep familiarity with MaRisk AT 9, EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, and DORA (Chapter V); understanding of ICT services, operational resilience, and business continuity; and proficiency with risk assessment frameworks and assurance activities. The role requires independent ownership of complex risk topics, effective stakeholder engagement at senior levels, ability to challenge decisions constructively, and strong analytical and communication skills. Fluent English is required; German is advantageous.
