CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial to lead and scale commercial legal operations as a key strategic partner to business, finance, and operations teams. This foundational role is responsible for developing and enhancing commercial legal capabilities, including contract frameworks, risk management, and legal strategy, while maintaining hands-on involvement in day-to-day matters. Reporting to the Vice President & General Counsel, you will play a critical role in enabling the company's growth through pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance. The role combines strategic leadership with individual contributor responsibilities, requiring someone who can both build scalable legal processes and actively participate in complex commercial negotiations and agreements. CesiumAstro develops pioneering communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. The company operates in a dynamic, cross-functional environment focused on innovation and collaboration. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology while building commercial legal infrastructure from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, and risk management, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into business-friendly guidance. You should be comfortable operating autonomously, managing multiple priorities, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and operational teams.
