Augustus is building a national bank from scratch, combining a real bank charter with Marble, a proprietary core banking system. The company is backed by $200M+ from Valar Ventures, Tiger Global, and founders of Nubank, Ramp, Deel, and others. Currently regulated in Europe with Euro and Stablecoin clearing, Augustus is now building its US team. As Third Party Risk Manager, you own the day-to-day mechanics of the TPRM program. You are responsible for maintaining the third-party inventory and running quarterly reconciliations against payment and contracting data. You run new vendor and partner relationships through intake and onboarding, execute initial and ongoing due diligence on recurring schedules, and track third-party audit requirements and findings. You coordinate risk-based reviews with subject matter experts across seven functions: Information Technology, Information Security, BSA/AML & OFAC, Compliance, Credit, Finance, and Legal. You collect and track RTO & RPO assessments for critical vendors, maintain exit plans, administer due diligence questionnaires, track service level agreements, and maintain the TPRM issues log from identification through closure. You also extend due diligence downstream to critical fourth parties and support reverse due diligence requests from partners assessing Augustus. In your first 90 days, you will learn how third-party risk currently operates (weeks 1-4), take over the operational cadence to ensure onboarding, due diligence, and SME reviews move on schedule (weeks 5-8), and close gaps in BCDR documentation, fourth-party coverage, and issues tracking while building leadership confidence in data accuracy (weeks 9-12). Augustus values relentless operators with high agency who set their own bar, shape processes without waiting for playbooks, and build systems rather than adding effort. You thrive on chasing documentation, closing due diligence files, and keeping inventories clean. You're comfortable coordinating across functions without formal authority and prefer fixing processes to sending follow-up emails. This role is not for you if you need a fully mature program handed to you, require others to define priorities, or find detail-heavy document work draining. REQUIREMENTS: - Several years of experience in third-party/vendor risk management, procurement risk, compliance, or related operational/governance function - Comfortable managing due diligence and review cycles across multiple vendors, partners, and internal SME functions simultaneously - Strong organizational and documentation skills; inventories, DDQs, and trackers remain accurate under your ownership - Working knowledge of or strong ability to quickly learn third-party risk concepts including due diligence tiering, BCDR/RTO/RPO, SLA monitoring, and issues management - Comfortable with Excel/spreadsheets and reporting tools; GRC or TPRM platform experience is a plus but not required - Located in New York City or ready to relocate
