As Territory Sales Manager for the West region (Northern CA, CO, WA, OR, ID, AK), you will own the distribution strategy and revenue generation for your territory. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on building a book of business with newly appointed agencies and brokers.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and execute distribution strategy for the Northwest territory, serving as the primary point of contact for agents and brokers
- Proactively close and onboard newly established broker relationships to drive immediate revenue
- Exceed production quotas through proven distribution management and relationship development
- Develop regional territory plans and sales strategies for strategic broker partners
- Conduct virtual and in-person meetings with account managers and executive leadership
- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual activity and production metrics
- Serve as point of accountability for distribution success in your region
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of insurance experience in business development or production underwriting
- 5+ years working in the defined territory with established retail and/or wholesale broker relationships
- Proven track record closing new clients in retail or wholesale distribution
- Self-starter mentality with high energy, urgency, and problem-solving orientation
- Desired: cyber, tech E&O, or professional lines insurance experience; startup experience a plus
