CropX is a globally recognized AgTech company seeking a Territory Sales Manager to lead dealer network development and sales growth across the Western Midwest and Pacific Northwest regions. You will report to the VP of North America Sales and manage a large, multi-state territory including Western Nebraska, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Western Montana, Idaho, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
In this role, you will recruit and maintain a strong dealer network, drive territory growth by meeting and exceeding sales goals, and maintain an active sales funnel reflecting revenue opportunities. You will oversee onboarding of newly recruited dealers and train both new and existing dealer partners to be best-in-class. Your responsibilities include working with dealers to communicate the value of CropX's precision agriculture solutions, ensuring end-user customers understand and receive value throughout the season, and serving as a bridge between dealers and CropX's technology development team.
You will identify new market opportunities and enhanced solutions, work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Operations, Product, and R&D teams to ensure high-quality customer experience, and manage your schedule and travel independently. The role requires approximately 30-50%+ travel on average, with seasonal spikes during peak agricultural periods.
CropX offers a cloud-based, integrated hardware and software solution combining soil data from proprietary sensors with weather, imaging, and crop data. The platform delivers machine learning-based insights accessible from any device, helping farmers optimize soil moisture, improve nutrient management, and enhance yields. Solutions are delivered through a network of trained dealers and certified water professionals.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of sales experience within the agriculture industry
- Proven track record of developing and executing dealer strategy, including establishing, training, and managing dealer partners in equipment and subscription sales
- Farming knowledge and/or agronomic experience
- Independent thinking with strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in 1-1 and group settings
- Ability to understand customer needs from both business and technical perspectives
- Comfort with technology: ability to demonstrate software products virtually and in person; working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM tools is a plus
- Ability to travel 30-50%+ on average with seasonal spikes
- Must reside in one of the listed US states or Canadian provinces
- Experience selling AgTech in this territory is advantageous
- Experience managing sales team members is advantageous
