Branch is a fintech company reimagining auto insurance through data, technology, and automation. The company eliminates inaccurate quotes, simplifies bundling, and reduces unnecessary costs in the traditional insurance process, passing savings to members.
As Senior Territory Manager for the Kansas City MO territory (with potential expansion to adjacent states), you will own a defined geographic region and drive volume and quality of business submitted by independent agencies. This is a relationship-first, field-based role where your in-person presence in the territory is the core product.
You will build and segment a target agency list, set your own call plan, and decide where your time is best spent across your agency base. You carry a production target for bound premium and policy count and are accountable for hitting it. Success requires commercial directness—you'll ask agencies for commitments and hold them accountable. You diagnose why agencies aren't producing, reframe objections around total value, and run a disciplined, self-directed schedule.
Key responsibilities include: owning territory strategy and agency segmentation; carrying and tracking production targets (bound premium and policy count); running consistent in-person agency visits, lunch-and-learns, and local events; securing specific production commitments from priority agencies; clearly communicating Branch's value proposition and appetite; educating agencies on Branch's ideal risk profile; training agency staff on Branch's quoting platform; activating and retaining producing agencies; addressing competitive objections; reporting field intelligence (competitive intel, pricing friction, product gaps) back to headquarters; and partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to resolve territory-level barriers.
Success is measured by growth in bound premium and policy count against target, quality of business (% of growth matching ideal customer profile: bundled home and auto with coverage amounts $400k–$1.2m), and % of target agencies actively producing with consistency.
The role reports to the Director, Territory Management and sits at the center of Branch's independent agency go-to-market strategy. Branch is remote-first but this role requires significant field presence and in-person relationship building. The company has office space in Columbus, Ohio (headquarters), Columbia and Concordia, Missouri, and Forreston, Illinois.

- Strong in-person presentation and group training skills; ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with agency principals and producers.
