Halter is a venture-backed agtech company enabling farmers and graziers to adopt virtual fencing technology, eliminating the need for traditional quad bikes, dogs, and physical fences. The company is backed by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC.
As the first Territory Manager in Uruguay, you will establish Halter's presence in the region and drive business growth within your designated territory. This is a founding role with significant scope to shape industry adoption of virtual fencing technology from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting & Sales: Source new leads through proactive outreach, referrals, and industry events. Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through contract negotiation and close.
- Sales Target Achievement: Build and manage your pipeline to meet high-growth sales targets through screening, qualifying, product demonstrations, and successful contract negotiations.
- Customer Success & Account Management: Maintain close relationships with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction, provide ongoing support, and identify upselling opportunities. Own the customer onboarding and deployment experience, ensuring smooth transitions from sales to implementation.
- Territory Ownership: Develop deep relationships across the beef industry in your territory. Work with regional agricultural groups and industry stakeholders to establish Halter's credibility and market presence.
- Field Intelligence: Serve as the primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback and field insights. Collaborate with Product, Support, and R&D teams to share learnings that drive product improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Support, Product, and regional sales teams to address customer challenges, resolve issues, and ensure customers feel fully supported.
- Regional Travel: Frequent travel throughout your territory to engage directly with customers and prospects.
You bring sales and customer success expertise with a track record of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting partnerships. Experience in beef operations or deep passion for learning the industry is essential. You thrive under pressure, own your results, and naturally elevate those around you. You're resourceful, collaborative, and willing to invest the effort required to build something meaningful from the ground up.
