Ophelia is a venture-backed healthtech startup providing FDA-approved telehealth treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). The company has been operating successfully across 14 states for nearly six years and is expanding its impact. As Territory Manager for the Buffalo region, you will be the primary face of Ophelia in local communities, responsible for building and scaling a high-volume referral network. Your core mission is to establish trust-based partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, patient advocates, and social service agencies to drive patient access to Ophelia's treatment platform. Key responsibilities include: **Partnership Development**: Proactively identify, prospect, and pitch Ophelia to new referral sources. You will manage a high-volume pipeline, moving organizations from cold outreach to active partnerships through persistence and strategic positioning. **Relationship Stewardship**: Nurture and scale existing partnerships by ensuring clinical and philosophical alignment with Ophelia's mission. You will serve as a long-term advocate, helping local organizations become sustainable referral sources. **Data-Driven Performance**: Use CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) to track activity, conversion rates from referral to patient enrollment, and ROI on partnership outreach. You will analyze which partner types yield the highest patient conversion and adjust strategy weekly. **Community Engagement**: Spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with stakeholders across Erie, Niagara, and surrounding counties. You will identify barriers to treatment access and solidify Ophelia's local presence. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work with marketing, commercial, clinical, product, and operations teams to refine referral strategies and remove systemic barriers. **Feedback Integration**: Collect and synthesize community feedback to inform product and service improvements. You will be based in Buffalo with a territory covering Erie and Niagara counties, plus regular travel to Rochester and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Expect to travel locally ~4 days per week with your own reliable transportation. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in business development, partnership management, medical sales, or account management. You are a self-starter who thrives with autonomy, can craft and execute outreach strategies independently, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with empathy for vulnerable populations. Professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-first mindset are essential.
