Funding Circle, a fintech platform that uses data-driven technology to provide small business funding in minutes rather than weeks, is seeking a Technology Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit (IA) team in London. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the office. You will lead standalone and integrated internal audit reviews across Funding Circle's technology platforms and operations. Key responsibilities include scoping technology and integrated audits with the Audit Director, C-level executives, and co-source partners; performing detailed risk and control analysis; designing and executing test strategies for design adequacy and operating effectiveness; documenting findings; and preparing impactful reports for senior stakeholders. You will also follow up on audit actions to ensure timely closure and maintain stakeholder engagement throughout the audit lifecycle. The role requires proven experience leading audits of technology platforms, system development lifecycle processes, and cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). You should have strong understanding of how AI influences technology controls and emerging cyber threats, with experience assessing and auditing relevant controls. Proficiency in multiple test strategies—including data and analytics testing—for technology change, operations, and IT general/application controls is essential. You must be able to build trusted relationships across all seniority levels and proactively identify ways to use generative AI to enhance productivity and audit delivery. Funding Circle offers a progressive professional development environment with opportunities to deepen both soft and technical skills. The company is a public fintech with startup energy, backed by strong financial performance (£7.2bn generated for the UK economy last year) and recognized as one of The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2026. Benefits include flexible benefit allowance, private medical and dental, annual learning allowance, share schemes, and award-winning parental leave policies.
