Salary: EUR 37,000 - 51,000 / annual
Cloudflare is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join its Developer Platform support team in Lisbon. In this role, you will provide technical support to customers using Cloudflare's Developer Platform products including Workers, Workers AI, Pages, KV, Stream, R2, D1, and Durable Objects. You will work closely with customers to resolve complex technical issues and collaborate with the Technical Operations team responsible for running Cloudflare's global distributed network.
You will gain deep knowledge of Cloudflare's technology stack and internet infrastructure while helping developers troubleshoot problems across multiple support channels including email, live chat, phone, and virtual meetings. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, interacting with customers, and continuously expanding their expertise in web technologies and internet infrastructure.
The position offers exposure to modern web development practices, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure at scale. You will work with a team that values curiosity, problem-solving, and customer-first thinking.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with Developer Platform products (Workers, Pages, KV, etc.)
- Previous experience in a customer-facing technical support role
- Experience solving HTTP, DNS, and networking-related problems
- Knowledge of common web development languages (e.g., JavaScript)
- Understanding of how the Internet works
- Demonstrated ability to thrive resolving support tickets
- Comfort communicating across multiple support channels with strong customer focus
- Self-motivated with drive to expand skill set
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in German, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin
- Active experience with Cloudflare platform
- Proficiency with command-line tools (curl, dig, traceroute, tcpdump)
- Familiarity with Nginx, Apache, IIS, or other web servers
- Knowledge of DNS, CDN caching, SSL, or Cloudflare Workers
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, or other databases
- Experience with Cloudflare Workers and/or JavaScript
- Background with video encoding and streaming solutions
