Prelim is a fintech startup helping banks streamline customer onboarding. They are hiring their first dedicated recruiter to scale hiring across engineering, sales, and implementations teams. The company is profitable, remote-first, and doubling revenue year-over-year, with hiring now identified as the primary constraint on growth.
In this role, you will own full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, scheduling, and supporting candidates through offer close. You'll build pipelines through cold outreach, referrals, and events—not just processing inbound applications. You'll partner closely with hiring managers to understand what "exceptional" looks like for each role and help run campus recruiting efforts. You'll track pipeline metrics, report on what's working, and continuously improve processes. A key responsibility is protecting candidate experience through fast interview loops, honest communication, and clean closes.
The company has already built interview loops, rubrics, and processes; your job is to master them, run them efficiently, and eventually improve them. You'll also write job descriptions, reports, debriefs, offer letters, and internal documentation.
Preilm is based in San Francisco and New York City but operates fully remote across the US. They offer equity, sponsored 401K, parental leave, fully paid health/vision/dental insurance, unlimited PTO, remote work stipend, lifestyle stipend, and twice-yearly company offsites.
Requirements:
- Clear communicator with strong writing skills (job descriptions, reports, debriefs, offer letters, internal documentation)
- Genuine interest in people: reading them, persuading them, advocating for them
- Demonstrated output volume in a high-throughput role (customers served, calls made, events run, tickets closed, etc.)
- Evidence of learning hard things fast—specific examples of what you learned, how quickly, and the result
- Track record of top-tier performance: early promotion, top ranking, a team you led, or a business you started
- Nice to have: any exposure to recruiting, sales, or fintech
