Doppel is a Series C AI-native cybersecurity platform backed by Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners. The company builds social engineering defense solutions using agentic AI to protect organizations from phishing, impersonation, fraud, and AI-powered threats across digital channels.
You will own full-cycle recruiting for Doppel's Applied Cyber and Security organizations, with flexibility to support other technical and business-critical hiring as priorities evolve. This is a specialized technical recruiting role requiring deep partnership with highly technical teams and hiring managers.
Key responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end recruiting (sourcing, screening, interview management, offer strategy, closing) for cybersecurity disciplines including security engineering, product security, applied cyber, threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident response, and security research.
- Build talent strategies for difficult-to-fill specialized roles and develop targeted outbound sourcing from security companies, research organizations, government, consulting, and technology firms.
- Partner directly with hiring managers and technical leaders to define candidate profiles, calibrate hiring bars, and translate business needs into successful hires.
- Develop deep understanding of Doppel's product, security landscape, and technical challenges to credibly assess specialized candidates.
- Operate as an AI-native recruiter: use AI tools throughout the recruiting lifecycle (sourcing, research, candidate evaluation, outreach, pipeline management, interview prep, reporting, closing) and identify opportunities to build, automate, and improve workflows.
- Build and iterate on AI-powered recruiting automations rather than relying solely on off-the-shelf processes. Experiment with new AI tools and agents, measure effectiveness, and scale what works.
- Own pipeline health, proactively identify gaps and bottlenecks, use recruiting data to diagnose problems and adjust strategy.
- Deliver high-quality candidate experience while moving candidates through the process with urgency.
- Help build scalable recruiting infrastructure and talent intelligence as the company grows.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth technology companies.
- Experience recruiting technical talent with meaningful exposure to cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure, or similarly specialized technical domains.
- Strong outbound sourcing skills and proven track record building pipelines for difficult-to-fill roles.
- AI-native approach: actively use AI in recruiting work and identify opportunities to replace repetitive manual processes with automated workflows.
- Builder mindset: comfortable experimenting with AI tools, agents, automations, and new workflows independently.
- Ability to quickly learn new technical and functional domains and flex across different searches.
- Ability to learn technical domains deeply enough to distinguish between adjacent skill sets and communicate credibly with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong hiring manager partnership skills; can translate ambiguous hiring needs into clear profiles and recruiting strategies.
- Comfortable operating independently and being accountable for hiring outcomes.
- Strong judgment around candidate quality and ability to calibrate against high technical hiring bars.
- Data-oriented approach to recruiting using funnel metrics and market information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable in fast-moving environments where priorities, tools, and hiring needs evolve quickly.
