Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI, designing and operating global systems for data capture, data labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used by leading AI labs and robotics companies to train and validate humanoid and embodied AI systems.
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will own full-cycle technical recruiting across engineering, ML, computer vision, robotics and other specialized technical roles. This is a proactive sourcing role—you will map specialized talent markets, develop relationships before roles open, and build pipelines that compound as the company grows. You will not wait for applicants; instead, you'll conduct original research, engage technical communities, and build trusted relationships across robotics and computer vision companies, research labs, and universities.
Key responsibilities include: leading full-cycle recruiting with emphasis on sourcing exceptional candidates through targeted outreach and relationship building rather than passive LinkedIn searches; partnering with hiring managers to define real needs and build effective interview processes; developing talent pipelines for specialized and hard-to-find profiles; maintaining speed while preserving hiring bar and candidate experience; presenting and closing offers; using pipeline data and market intelligence to inform strategy; and helping improve recruiting systems and practices as the company scales.
You will have direct access to leaders making hiring decisions, ownership over critical searches, and the opportunity to build a technical talent network that shapes Mecka's growth. The hiring bar is high, the pace is fast, and the people you bring in will directly influence the company's direction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
- Some experience hiring specialized engineers, researchers or technical leaders in robotics, computer vision, physical AI, autonomous systems, ML or another deep-tech environment
- Strong sourcing instincts and demonstrated ability to uncover candidates other recruiters miss
- Experience operating at speed in a demanding startup, scaleup or high-performance environment
- Judgment to distinguish impressive résumés from candidates who materially raise the bar
- Credibility and curiosity to engage deeply technical candidates and hiring managers
- Strong candidate-closing skills and comfort navigating compensation, equity and competing offers
- High ownership mentality: identify obstacles, propose solutions, keep processes moving
PREFERRED:
- Existing relationships across robotics, computer vision or embodied-AI companies, labs and academic communities
- Experience recruiting at the intersection of software, hardware and research
- Familiarity with talent from conferences and communities such as CVPR, NeurIPS, CoRL, RSS or ICRA
- Experience with Ashby and modern sourcing or talent-intelligence tools
