Apex manufactures satellite buses (commercial spacecraft platforms) at scale, combining software, vertical integration, and hardware designed for manufacturing. These platforms enable earth observation, communications, and other critical space-based services. You will serve as Technical Project Manager for the Command and Control (C2) program, acting as the central coordination point across Cyber, Product, and Engineering functions. This is a leadership role managing complex, multi-team initiatives with direct accountability for program delivery and cross-functional alignment. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the central point of coordination across Cyber, Product, and Engineering, defining ownership boundaries and maintaining alignment across all three teams - Own end-to-end delivery of C2 program workflows, coordinating complex multi-team deployments and rollouts - Manage the product set and requirements across teams, offloading work appropriately - Build and maintain reporting processes to ensure effective team coordination and visibility - Lead planning and execution of programs tied to ATO (Authority to Operate) accreditation, including FedRAMP compliance - Define and manage priorities between product, cyber, and engineering functions, making real-time trade-off decisions - Own day-to-day program management, running regular status touchpoints and progress reporting across all three teams - Ensure documentation (requirements, program status, accreditation materials) stays current and accessible to stakeholders Apex is a fast-growing aerospace startup that has raised over $500M in funding. The company operates in the commercial space industry, where increasing launch vehicle availability and decreasing launch costs have created massive demand for satellite platforms. You will work alongside experts from aerospace and new space industries in a collaborative Playa Vista office environment. REQUIREMENTS: - Experience running technical programs across multiple functions (security/cyber, product, engineering, etc.) simultaneously - Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with comfort making real-time calls on sprint priorities and trade-offs across teams - Excellent communication skills with strong ability to translate between technical, product, and compliance-oriented stakeholders - Background in both program management and product management (preferred) - Experience in cloud or C2 (command and control) program environments (preferred) - Experience coordinating with third-party partners on technical or compliance requirements (preferred) - Experience with ATO/accreditation processes (FedRAMP) strongly preferred - Comfort operating with less deep systems/software engineering ownership and more cross-functional orchestration - Must qualify as a U.S. Person or be able to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR/EAR regulations
