Anthropic is hiring a Technical Program Manager to own the Life Sciences Verification Program (LSVP), a beta initiative that gives verified life science professionals access to Claude with refined safeguards optimized for biology-related work. This is a cross-organizational execution role focused on scaling the program safely and expanding access to the life sciences community. You will be the single owner of the program of work, responsible for understanding what each expansion requires, tracking where every workstream stands, identifying blockers, and knowing who needs to decide. The role does not require a life sciences background—this is an execution and coordination role, not a research role. Key responsibilities include: - Own the program for expanding access to life sciences verification programs, including scoping, sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs across safeguards, platform, and product engineering teams - Scope and drive cross-organizational engineering work required for each expansion, from new plan and account types to new platforms - Partner with the product manager to turn program goals into a sequenced plan with clear owners and dates - Drive clarity on data access, retention, and review requirements, and the changes they require across safeguards, access, and provisioning systems - Drive user experience scoping across Claude product surfaces where the program is available - Find and remove technical blockers preventing eligible organizations from accessing life sciences capabilities - Establish an operating rhythm with a single view of workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, and status, including planning, escalation paths, and launch coordination across organizations - Convert recurring efforts into documented, repeatable processes so each new expansion requires less bespoke coordination Anthropus is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco, focused on creating reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The company offers competitive compensation, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and collaborative office space. Requirements: - Several years of experience in technical program management with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs - Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations simultaneously, including safeguards, platform, and product partners - Ability to engage meaningfully with engineers doing the work, from platform and access systems to product surfaces - Highly organized with ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams - Thrive in unstructured environments with a knack for bringing order to chaos and creating clarity in ambiguous situations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence without authority - Experience with cloud or platform programs (preferred but not required) - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience - A field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience - No life sciences background required - Passion for Anthropic's mission and interest in challenges of bringing AI capabilities to the life sciences community safely and reliably
