OpenAI's Enterprise team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the technical strategy and execution of AI-powered enterprise products and shared platform capabilities. You will drive the development of products and systems that make ChatGPT, Codex, and future OpenAI offerings useful, secure, and scalable for organizations.
In this role, you will translate customer needs and competitive dynamics into actionable technical plans, influence architectural direction across application, platform, and infrastructure layers, and deliver durable capabilities. You'll partner closely with engineering teams to shape product strategy, APIs, integrations, and shared platform systems. Your responsibilities include representing the needs of enterprise buyers, IT administrators, security teams, developers, and end users in product and technical decisions.
Key responsibilities include driving technical strategy from design through implementation and customer rollout; identifying adoption barriers and competitive gaps; balancing near-term customer needs with long-term platform direction; coordinating enterprise launch readiness including security and operational requirements; and driving alignment across Product, Engineering, Security, Safety, Legal, Design, and GTM functions. You will work directly with enterprise customers and design partners to understand deployment friction and turn recurring needs into scalable improvements.
You should have a strong track record leading complex technical programs in enterprise software, cloud platforms, developer products, or AI systems. Deep technical acumen across full-stack systems, APIs, scalable architecture, and enterprise integrations is essential. Understanding of enterprise requirements such as SSO, SCIM, RBAC, audit logging, data residency, and compliance is important. You'll need strong product judgment around modern AI systems including agents, connectors, tool use, and tradeoffs across reliability, latency, cost, and safety. Experience with enterprise software launches involving security, identity, and compliance is preferred. The role requires clear communication, cross-functional influence, and the ability to bring structure to complex, ambiguous work.
