OpenAI is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end execution of AI model deployments across strategic cloud partners. This role sits at the intersection of OpenAI's internal engineering, infrastructure, product, and go-to-market teams, and external partner organizations, driving the technical strategy and execution required to bring OpenAI models and platform capabilities into partner environments responsibly and at scale. You will own integrated technical roadmaps spanning model deployment, product integration, operational readiness, launch follow-through, and partner-platform adoption. Key responsibilities include leading launch readiness across cloud partner platforms with readiness checklists, blocker tracking, and joint go/no-go reviews; acting as a primary technical interface to partner engineering organizations; driving alignment across OpenAI's engineering, infrastructure, product, safety, security, legal, finance, and go-to-market teams; and providing clear, transparent reporting on program status, issues, risks, and decisions to senior leaders. You will convert open issues into prioritized plans with clear owners, workbacks, and closure paths, and help build repeatable and efficient development and launch pipelines for OpenAI models on partner platforms. The role requires substantial technical program management leadership across infrastructure or large-scale engineering work, with a proven track record of owning complex programs end to end. You should have led complex partner-facing programs requiring tight cross-company coordination, understand cloud architectures and AI/ML deployment challenges, and have direct experience with major cloud or AI platforms. Ideal candidates bring familiarity with how foundation models are integrated, packaged, launched, and operated through partner platforms; experience with inference systems, model serving, accelerator-backed infrastructure, or distributed systems; and the ability to balance strategic priorities with rapid, high-quality execution. You must communicate crisply with engineers, executives, and external partners, create alignment without direct authority, thrive in ambiguous scaling environments, and exercise strong judgment on risk and sequencing. The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.
