Netflix is seeking a Technical Program Manager with deep ad tech expertise to lead high-impact cross-functional programs within the Ads Platform team. The role focuses on driving the delivery of advertising systems and integrations that power Netflix's ad-supported tier, which has grown to over 94 million global monthly active users since launch in 2022.
You will lead multiple complex, interconnected programs spanning product, engineering, design, and data science teams. Key responsibilities include: developing and executing technical strategies for media planning, campaign management, forecasting, and inventory management systems; decomposing complex requirements into measurable technical execution plans; managing cross-functional dependencies and proactively mitigating risks; and communicating progress clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of technical program management experience with proven expertise building and scaling ad tech platforms. You should have a track record of driving large-scale software projects, defining technical strategies, and delivering long-term scalable solutions. Deep understanding of product growth, discovery solutions, and the ability to debate technical approaches and weigh product vs. technology tradeoffs are essential.
This is a role for a self-starter who thrives in 0-to-1 problem spaces, enjoys orchestrating multiple programs with many moving parts, and excels at building partnerships across functions. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—are critical, as is the ability to articulate business impact and technical constraints to diverse audiences. You should embody Netflix's culture and values.
Compensation is structured as annual salary with no bonuses; you choose annually how much of your total compensation is salary versus stock options. The range for this role is $420,000–$630,000 annually. Netflix offers comprehensive benefits including health plans, mental health support, 401(k) with employer match, stock options, disability programs, family-forming benefits, and flexible paid time off for salaried employees.
