FERO is building next-generation eCommerce payment technology, helping merchants maximize conversion and deliver seamless checkout experiences through a Smart Checkout platform, payment orchestration, and data-driven insights.
You will serve as Technical Product Owner for the central Data Team, owning the backlog and execution across product analytics, GTM enablement, payments reconciliation, data infrastructure, and ML/conversion modeling. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll run the sprint engine and make day-to-day prioritization decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and groom the backlog across all Data Team workstreams
- Run agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, stand-ups, reviews, retros)
- Write clear tickets with acceptance criteria and ruthlessly prioritize across competing domains
- Act as single point of intake for requests from CEO, Head of Product, GTM, and Finance
- Translate business asks into scoped, estimable work
- Coordinate dependencies between Data Team and Engineering, Finance, GTM stakeholders
- Protect team focus by flagging scope creep and unclear requirements
Required experience:
- 2–3 years in project/delivery management, Scrum Master, or Product Owner role (ideally data/analytics focused)
- Working knowledge of SQL and comfort with data/analytics concepts
- Proven track record running scrum or kanban for technical teams with healthy velocity
- Ability to operate across multiple domains (analytics, GTM, financial reconciliation) without deep expertise in each
- Comfortable with dual reporting lines (Head of Product and CEO)
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to say no and defend roadmap under pressure
- Structured communicator who turns ambiguous requests into clear specs
- Thrives in fast-moving startup with shifting priorities
Nice-to-have: Data/analytics team delivery experience, Jira/Linear familiarity, direct reporting to founders, fintech/payments or regulated industry background.
Offered: High-impact work with fast feedback loops, permanent contract, private health insurance (partially covered), hybrid arrangement (3 days office / 2 remote), central Madrid office location.
