Salary: CAD 120,000 - 160,000 / annual
Senpilot builds AI agents that help utilities operate smarter, faster, and more reliably, automating everything from engineering workflows to regulatory filings and compliance. The company's mission is to create the intelligence layer for the modern grid—AI systems that understand utility data, reason across it, and act autonomously to improve safety, resilience, and efficiency.
You will serve as Technical Product Manager for Senpilot's Regulatory AI Agent, reporting to the CTO. This role owns the technical execution and day-to-day product direction for an AI system designed to help regulatory teams (at utilities, consultants, law firms, and regulatory bodies) operate more efficiently. The product is built on a database of 10M+ historical regulatory filings and a best-in-class intelligence layer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with leadership and internal regulatory subject matter experts to shape the product roadmap and translate strategic objectives into near-term deliverables
- Turn ambiguous business problems into well-scoped engineering problems that engineering teams can build against
- Own customer activation and product analytics; identify why features aren't landing with users and drive fixes
- Default to rapid build-measure-learn loops: prototype, get real user signal, iterate fast
- Prototype hands-on using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to de-risk before engineering builds
- Work in tight loops with design and engineering, keeping specs, mocks, and tickets coordinated and moving
- Ensure the engineering team prioritizes correctly day-to-day, balancing urgent customer needs with longer-term milestones
- Use AI tools in your own workflow to optimize output
This is a doer role with strong technical depth. You will write specs and also prototype, often rough-coding a version with AI tools before it reaches the engineering team. The company is AI-native; AI isn't just what you ship, it's how you work.
Work location: Hybrid. The team gathers at the downtown Toronto office up to three times a month. In-person attendance on those days is expected.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally B2B/enterprise SaaS
- Prior hands-on experience as a software engineer is a major plus
- Comfortable going deep on an incredibly complex regulated domain; regulatory/energy experience is a plus
- Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar)—able to ship a working prototype yourself, not just describe one
- Track record of running tight, high-trust loops with design and engineering on small, lean teams
- Bias to action: scrappy v1 over perfect PRD
- Superb communicator and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Low-ego approach to working with design and engineering
