Serval is an AI-native automation platform that builds intelligent agents to transform enterprise operations. Founded in early 2024 and backed by Sequoia Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and other leading investors, Serval is trusted by companies like Fox, Notion, Perplexity, Vercel, and Brex to automate high-volume operational work across IT, HR, Finance, Security, Legal, and Engineering.
You'll join the Agent Deployment team as a Deployment Strategist dedicated to one of Serval's largest and most strategic customers—one of the largest companies in the world. This is a hybrid role where you'll spend a few days each week embedded with the customer's team in Santa Clara and the remainder of your time at Serval's San Francisco HQ.
As the primary technical relationship and AI advisor for this flagship account, you'll own customer engagements from pilot through production launch, designing and delivering deployments that fit the customer's workflows and scale adoption of Serval's platform. You'll build AI agents on Serval's platform that drive real value, advise on AI strategy by embedding with customers to guide their adoption and scaling, and lead migrations that minimize disruption and ensure seamless platform adoption.
You'll work deeply within Serval's product surface area: building novel workflows, configuring integrations, and shipping bug fixes and product changes yourself. Your work directly shapes the product roadmap—the workflows and features you build in the field make their way into the core product. You'll partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to turn field learnings into repeatable processes and sharper go-to-market strategies.
This role is for someone who thrives on execution velocity, moves quickly across multiple engagements, is comfortable in ambiguity, and brings a strong blend of technical depth, product sense, and customer obsession.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years in a relevant role (product, engineering, consulting, founder)
- Strong communication and relationship management skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on technical ability: reading and troubleshooting production code in customer-facing environments, analyzing code paths, database state, and API requests/responses with infra and browser dev tools
- Working knowledge of APIs and REST, IAM, and SQL for data analysis
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment
- Experience writing production code
- Background working with enterprise customers or complex technical sales cycles
- Familiarity with IT, security, service management, or workflow automation
