Scrut Automation is hiring a Technical Product Manager to own strategy and roadmap for GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) product modules. The company is building an AI-native future of GRC with autonomous agents, headless APIs, MCP servers, and agentic workflows to replace manual compliance work.
You will own end-to-end strategy and roadmap for your modules, from discovery through launch and iteration. Key responsibilities include: writing unambiguous specs and PRDs that engineers build from; shaping architecture conversations and evaluating technical feasibility and trade-offs; using AI-driven development tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) daily for prototyping and validation; instrumenting everything shipped with event taxonomy and success metrics; and championing customer feedback to define market needs and map them to actionable features.
Required experience: 5–10 years in product management at technology companies. You must be highly proficient at core PM craft (PRDs, backlogs, user flows, sprints, Figma, cross-functional communication). You need a track record of shipping in fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup or scale-up environments and demonstrated ability to influence engineering, design, sales, and customer success without formal authority.
Technical fluency is a high bar requirement. You need real understanding of: architecture and infrastructure (microservices, scalability, cloud environments like AWS/GCP/Azure); integrations and data (REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, JSON, databases, data modeling); SDLC end-to-end (sprint planning, estimation, release management, version control); and security and reliability (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA concepts, technical debt management). You don't need to write production code, but engineers should trust your specs and architects should view you as a thought partner.
Plus factors (not required): proof of work (GitHub, shipped agent, prototype, technical writing); domain experience in GRC, cybersecurity, or adjacent spaces; background in developer-facing products; hands-on coding ability.
