8090 Solutions, co-founded by Chamath Palihapitiya, is building a Software Factory that generates complete AI-powered enterprise solutions from initial concepts. The company identifies inefficiencies in enterprise operations and delivers tailored solutions that eliminate traditional software development complexity.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will operate as a forward-deployed product leader owning the full lifecycle of AI-first enterprise solutions from discovery through live deployment and production iteration. You'll work in-person from Redwood City, CA, partnering closely with small, high-leverage engineering teams while leading complex customer engagements inside large enterprises.
Key responsibilities include leading discovery with prospective and committed customers to identify technical risks (APIs, integrations, data availability, security constraints) and creating execution-ready PRDs. You'll translate ambiguous business problems into concrete solution designs, including building or contributing to live POCs when needed. You'll partner closely with engineering to validate feasibility, reduce ambiguity, and accelerate delivery.
You'll drive execution under real-world constraints—resources, timelines, and enterprise governance—owning project governance, success metrics, and delivery milestones from pre-sales through production. You'll serve as the primary customer interface, facilitating discovery workshops, steering committees, and executive reviews, and creating tailored communications from executive-level updates to detailed iteration plans.
You should demonstrate success delivering enterprise software solutions end-to-end, ideally involving AI/ML systems, with ability to build and deploy solutions inside complex enterprise environments. Strong technical intuition and credibility with senior engineers is essential. You'll operate effectively with small internal teams and large, demanding customer organizations, communicating clearly and confidently at both executive and technical levels. Domain expertise in Health and Life Sciences industries is valued.
Requirements: 5+ years of Product Management experience with emphasis on enterprise software creation; proven ownership of the full product lifecycle from discovery through production and iteration; strong technical background with hands-on exposure to software systems; exceptional written and verbal communication with a history of impactful stakeholder management; familiarity with data science, ML concepts, and non-deterministic systems in real deployments.
