Jerry.ai is a pre-IPO insurtech platform that has raised $240M and achieved profitability with 5M+ customers. The company is building an integrated app to manage car and home ownership—covering insurance, maintenance, repairs, and more. Jerry launched as a top-three car insurance broker by leveraging homegrown generative AI infrastructure before off-the-shelf platforms existed.
As Technical Product Manager for AI Engineering & Systems, you will own the strategy and execution of Jerry's AI platform, which currently powers customer-facing chatbots, vehicle photo validation, back-office automation, and emerging capabilities like voicebots and computer use. Today, prompts and AI workflows are scattered across six separate systems with no unified platform or clear ownership. Your role is to consolidate this complexity into a scalable, production-grade architecture.
In your first months, you'll learn the prompt engineering workflow by writing and updating prompts, understanding how Jerry's tech stacks (Propelix, Botly, CRM, GitHub, Replit) interact, and identifying bottlenecks. You'll then own the platform strategy, including: (1) Prompt consolidation—defining and executing a migration strategy from six locations to a unified platform, aligning engineering, data, and operations teams; (2) Chatbot prioritization—owning the technical queue and keeping teams coordinated without adding process overhead; (3) Emerging technology decisions—tracking voicebot and computer use capabilities, owning the OpenAI relationship, managing Jerry's presence in the ChatGPT store, and influencing AI investment decisions.
You report directly to the COO and lead one of Jerry's most important growth levers. The role requires a technologist who reads AI release notes, builds custom workflows, thinks in systems, experiments constantly, and is data-driven (comfortable with SQL). You should have 3+ years in technical roles like forward-deployed engineering or technical product management at fast-paced startups, with a track record of turning complex strategic ideas into scalable products.
