Rune Technologies builds mission-critical AI-enabled logistics command and control software (TyrOS) for military sustainment operations. As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will sit at the intersection of QA testing, customer training, deployment support, and field operations, supporting the Mission Success organization.
At headquarters (Rosslyn, VA), you will focus on validating new software releases before customer deployment, exercising the product like a military operator would (planning missions, managing sustainment data, updating statuses, moving through workflows), and identifying bugs, workflow gaps, and confusing product behavior. You will test end-to-end scenarios across TyrOS and other Rune products to confirm system readiness for exercises, demos, and deployments.
In the field, you will deploy Rune products at customer sites, provide hands-on technical support, assist with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of deployed systems, and manage software updates. You will develop practical training materials and train military users virtually, in classrooms, and in field environments. You will capture user feedback during training sessions, exercises, and deployments, translating it into clear product observations for product and engineering teams.
Additional responsibilities include preparing deployment packages (software, hardware, documentation, training materials), building and maintaining deployment runbooks and troubleshooting knowledge bases, and clearly communicating technical findings and their operational impact to stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands military operations, cares deeply about user experience, and wants to help bring modern technology to soldiers, Marines, airmen, and operators in the field.
