Bespoke Post is seeking a Buyer for Home to own the Home category end-to-end, driving growth and performance against business objectives. This is a pivotal role combining strategic category ownership with hands-on operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Category Ownership & Growth: Own the Home category from end to end, accountable for growth and performance against business objectives. Work with the planning team to set goals and strategy, and answer for results.
• Assortment & Brand Mix: Source niche and unique products and identify opportunities to develop new in-house products in partnership with Product Development. Maintain consistent quality and brand fit standards. Stay ahead of market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify new category opportunities.
• Vendor Relationships & Negotiation: Lead vendor relationships including dropship partners from initial conversation through long-term partnership. Negotiate pricing, terms, and exclusivity. Set quality standards vendors must meet and build relationships that create competitive advantage.
• Financial Oversight & Open-to-Buy: Manage the Open-to-Buy budget for Home and drive it toward business goals. Apply retail mathematics and sound judgment to make buy decisions, determine investment areas, and maintain healthy inventory levels.
• Alignment & Storytelling: Align product messaging and narratives to brand ethos. Understand that product quality is only part of the job; how products are framed and introduced to customers is equally important.
You'll manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while staying close to day-to-day operations. You hold strategic ownership and operational detail together without losing sight of either.
Requirements:
• 4-6 years of buying experience, including work with dropship vendors
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to negotiate and communicate with clarity and confidence
• Comfort making sound decisions with available information
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and stay operationally engaged
