Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join the Advanced Capabilities team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role will initially be based in London, UK while the simulation center is under construction, then relocate to Abu Dhabi.
You will serve in a customer-facing capacity, working directly with EDGE and the Emirati Ministry of Defense to develop and deploy Anduril's integrated hardware-software products. Key responsibilities include:
• Support delivery of contract deliverables by planning, setting up, configuring, and testing equipment and software for immersive wargaming simulations and Augmented Reality demonstrations.
• Manage multi-day wargaming exercises, including planning, preparation, deployment, and recovery of AR/VR and hardware equipment in field environments. Provide software and hardware troubleshooting support before, during, and after customer missions.
• Own the deployment of Anduril's AR/VR, gaming engine, and mission simulation software at demonstration events, exercises, and wargames. Proactively identify and resolve issues with minimal external support.
• Design and implement user feedback loops and after-action reviews to gather, triage, and prioritize requirements, issues, and challenges. Troubleshoot AR/VR headsets, laptops, software, networking equipment, and related systems.
• Provide input to product and engineering teams to drive development of features that enhance the employment of Anduril's virtual warfare products.
• Support end-users through content development, system integration, and effective event delivery that maximizes engagement while minimizing hardware or software disruptions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, operations analysts, mission simulation engineers, wargaming engineers, designers, and senior leadership to continuously improve feedback and engagement systems.
Required qualifications include proven experience working across diverse clients and operational environments with excellent customer service skills, strong internal and external communication abilities, complex problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise, eligibility for country background checks and security clearance, and willingness to travel and be based in the UAE.
