Lambda is a leader in AI cloud infrastructure serving tens of thousands of customers ranging from AI researchers to enterprises and hyperscalers. As a Staff Data Center Implementation Manager, you will lead the end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent data center infrastructure projects, spanning Greenfield builds, colocation white space fit-outs, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle replacements.
You will serve as the single point of contact for all construction activities on assigned projects, coordinating closely with data center providers, MEP contractors, and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include overseeing construction schedules and budgets, managing OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) equipment procurement and installation, conducting design reviews, and driving alignment across cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, low voltage, and network engineering.
You will manage the build-out of multiple data center projects concurrently from detailed design through physical construction, oversee MEP contractors and equipment suppliers, coordinate with internal subject matter experts across disciplines, prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets, review and evaluate equipment submittals, participate in design review meetings, assist with vendor RFPs and selection, prepare detailed project reports for executive leadership, conduct site visits to verify construction quality and design adherence, and collaborate with network engineering, data center operations, HPC, supply chain, and technical project management teams.
The ideal candidate has proven experience managing data center construction projects including Greenfield builds and colocation fit-outs, strong understanding of MEP systems and construction practices, skilled in OFCI equipment procurement and submittal review, effective communication abilities, proficiency in project scheduling and budget management, experience with design reviews and commissioning processes, comfort with on-site inspections, familiarity with vendor RFP processes, strong organizational skills, collaborative team experience, and passion for continuous improvement and industry trends. The role requires 50% travel to various data center sites.
