Snowflake is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager for Observe, a high-growth SaaS observability platform built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. This is a hands-on, post-sales technical role focused on long-term platform adoption, optimization, and technical partnership with strategic enterprise customers.
You will serve as the primary technical owner and trusted advisor for assigned accounts, working directly with SRE, DevOps, platform, and engineering teams to embed Observe into daily workflows. Key responsibilities include building deep familiarity with customer architectures and operational goals, optimizing datasets, queries, dashboards, and alerts for reliability and cost efficiency, leading regular health checks and architecture reviews, identifying expansion opportunities, coordinating technical escalations, and providing guidance during complex operational scenarios.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, observability engineering, or customer-facing technical advisory roles. You should have strong hands-on experience operating production observability platforms and direct experience with leading solutions such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, or Elastic. Practical experience with OpenTelemetry (logs, metrics, traces, instrumentation, collectors, pipelines) is essential. You'll need a strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices, with demonstrated ability to improve operational outcomes in incident response, alert quality, troubleshooting speed, telemetry governance, and cost optimization.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—are critical for leading complex technical conversations with practitioners and engineering leadership. A pragmatic, consultative mindset focused on solving real-world production problems is essential. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience standardizing telemetry strategies, modernizing from legacy tools, familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure and Kubernetes, influence on enterprise architecture decisions, exposure to incident management platforms, and experience mentoring other engineers in observability best practices.
