Okta is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager (TAM) specializing in Auth0, a leading authentication and authorization platform for consumer and SaaS applications. You will join the Okta Japan TAM team and serve as a trusted identity coach to a portfolio of well-known brands, guiding them through their Auth0 implementations and long-term identity strategy. In this role, you will build and nurture deep relationships with technical stakeholders—from developers and engineering leads to C-level executives—learning their business objectives, challenges, and technical landscape. You'll conduct quarterly executive business reviews to demonstrate value and progress, while also engaging in ad hoc technical discussions with practitioners on identity solutions, best practices, and security posture improvements. Key responsibilities include monitoring customer health and satisfaction, proactively identifying and addressing risks, collaborating on adoption strategies to uncover growth opportunities, and acting as a product evangelist to educate customers on new Auth0 features and roadmap alignment. You will analyze trends, optimize customer outcomes, and represent the voice of the customer back to the product organization. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of IT experience (with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent) and at least 3 years as a Technical Account Manager or comparable customer-facing role, ideally in Identity & Access Management (IAM). You must have native-level Japanese proficiency with strong communication skills, plus the ability to communicate in English via email, Slack, and conversations. Technical competencies required include familiarity with authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0), API consumption, cloud-based services (SaaS/PaaS), and a foundational understanding of software development lifecycle and application architecture. A passion for cybersecurity principles and customer success is essential.
