Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Technical Account Manager based in the Rome or Milan region to lead professional services engagements and customer success initiatives. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site customer visits.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of professional services engagements—from proposal development and solution architecture through project delivery and post-implementation support. Your expertise in data protection, business continuity, cloud infrastructure, and virtualization will guide customers in designing and optimizing Veeam solutions for their environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and managing availability and data protection solution implementations
- Writing proposals and Statements of Work with technical input
- Providing overall project guidance (plans, schedules, resource allocation, status reporting)
- Conducting solution assessments, design reviews, and post-installation troubleshooting
- Delivering on-site knowledge transfer and training on Veeam products
- Creating technical documentation, white papers, and best-practice guides
- Analyzing customer environments and recommending optimal Veeam configurations
- Identifying upsell opportunities and facilitating communication between customers and Veeam support
- Managing multiple simultaneous projects and accounts
- Occasional overnight travel to meet customer objectives
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technology or equivalent hands-on experience
- VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent certification
- Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management credential
- Hands-on experience with Veeam core products
- Proven consulting and project management background
- Deep expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems (Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio), and traditional backup architectures (EMC, NetApp, IBM, Dell, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of networking (Fibre Channel, Ethernet, cloud services)
- Experience with enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with data management, data protection, and data analytics
- Proficiency in Italian and English (business level)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
