Kion is a Series A CloudOps and FinOps platform that delivers multicloud, multi-org, and multi-account visibility and controls. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be the primary technical advisor and relationship owner for a dedicated portfolio of 15–18 customers (8–10 strategic Tier 1–2 accounts plus ~8 mid-tier accounts), partnering with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to drive customer outcomes and expansion.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Own a named portfolio of strategic and mid-tier accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all platform and technical matters.
• Lead onboarding for new accounts to a 90-day time-to-value standard, treating onboarding as a renewal activity rather than a support task.
• Run tiered customer engagement cadences: monthly technical check-ins with strategic accounts, 6–8 week check-ins with named growth accounts, and quarterly proactive outreach to the pooled book. Each sync includes structured agendas, documented action items, and written recaps within two business days.
• Advise customers on platform upgrades, including timing, release notes, known issues, and coordinating phased rollouts across sandbox, non-prod, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and own customer platform issues end-to-end, including compliance dashboard configuration, spend reporting, permissions, integrations, and enforcement policy behavior.
• Serve as the connective tissue between customers and Kion's Engineering, Product, and Support teams, escalating and coordinating technical solutions.
• Own the technical side of the customer lifecycle from onboarding through renewal, with a focus on turning customers into advocates.
Your customers span enterprise commercial accounts (life sciences, tech, higher education) and government/defense accounts. The role is 100% remote-first, and you'll be joining at an exciting moment as the Customer Success team refines its processes and structure.
