Supabase is seeking a Technical Account Management (TAM) Leader to own the health, direction, and performance of the entire TAM function. This is a dual player-coach role where you'll manage a team of Technical Account Managers while maintaining direct accountability for the entire account portfolio. You will hire, coach, and develop TAMs to operate as credible, proactive technical partners to their accounts. Responsibilities include running 1:1s, setting development plans, building repeatable playbooks, and maintaining consistent standards for technical depth and proactivity. You'll own the coverage model for the entire function—deciding assignments, tracking portfolio health, and closing gaps across ~$33.1M ARR in named accounts (120 accounts, capped at 20 per TAM) and partner-mapped accounts. You'll ensure every assigned account has a clear technical owner, spot-check documentation and architecture understanding, and step in directly on strategic or highest-risk accounts. You'll audit onboarding and adoption processes, ensure environment reviews happen on regular cadence, and serve as the escalation layer for complex, high-impact issues. You'll coordinate across support, engineering, and success during major incidents, own execution of escalation SLAs, and ensure root cause analysis closes out properly. You'll represent the aggregated voice of customers to engineering and product, prioritizing recurring pain points. You'll maintain the operating agreement between TAM and Support, partner with Sales and Success leadership on portfolio-level account health and retention, and work directly with partner Account Quarterbacks and Partner Managers to ensure technical relationships keep pace with partner stage and tier. This role requires strong people leadership, strategic thinking, technical credibility, and the ability to scale a function while maintaining quality and relationship-first approach.
