Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft.
You will lead and build a team of account managers responsible for growing strategic merchant relationships and payments revenue in the Paris office. This is a people-management role where you will mentor and coach team members in strategic account planning, contract negotiations, product roadmap discussions, and executive engagement. You will create an inspiring, collaborative team environment with open communication and feedback culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Motivate team members, understand training needs, and provide coaching across strategic account planning, negotiations, and executive engagement
- Build and maintain an inspiring, collaborative team environment
- Serve as a senior stakeholder providing strategic advice to influence the global payments strategy for merchants
- Set clear individual and team goals focused on revenue growth, and report performance metrics at executive level
- Recruit new team members aligned with Adyen culture and required skills
- Participate in office and function-level initiatives to drive people growth and business optimization
- Engage with executives at all levels and streamline team operations
The role is based in the Paris office and is office-first; remote work is not offered. Some domestic and international travel is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years experience managing teams and building executive-level enterprise relationships
- 5+ years experience in account management, business development, consulting, or related field
- Proven commercial edge, entrepreneurial track record, and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and team-player skills with strong management capabilities and technical aptitude
- Ability to lead and manage time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Full professional proficiency in French and English
- Experience in enterprise payments, financial services, or merchant-side background is a plus
