As a Tax Operations Specialist, you will be a frontline problem solver for Rippling's Payroll Tax Operations team. Your primary focus is resolving critical payroll tax notices that clients receive from federal and state tax agencies. You'll investigate the root causes of these notices by researching internal systems, communicating directly with tax agencies, and working to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional customer service while resolving payroll tax notices
- Investigating notices through internal system research and agency coordination
- Identifying systemic gaps and process inefficiencies that contribute to notices
- Collaborating cross-functionally with the Payroll Engineering team to implement preventative solutions
- Updating internal systems and documentation
- Serving as a primary voice in building and scaling the tax operations department
